hey guys,

I'm a 24 year old male (white) and for the past year or so I've noticed my hair has definitely been thinning out, especially in frontal areas of my scalp in the common receding hairline areas. I wouldn't say that it's an extreme case of hair loss (yet). Despite the fact that my hair does infact grow in (just not well) I shave my head bald with a razor. I actually like the bald look and I feel it works for me. However, if I can save my hair now and possibly restore it using the LaserComb it's something I absolutely want to try out.

When I grow my hair in it looks like III-A in this photo:

Now here's my question, Can I use the LaserComb and still continue with the shaved head look? or do I need hair on my head for this to work?

Hi Bionic687 -

Thank you for your post.

You are like a lot of guys who simply shave their heads when they experience hair loss, but with the advent of the HairMax you can now take on your hair loss and do something about it.

From knowing your hair classification, you are an ideal candidate for the HairMax. The device will help restore the dormant hairs you have and most importantly help prevent further hair loss.

The HairMax LaserComb will exert its effect whether you have shaved your hair or not since it works directly on the follicle. However, to be able to judge efficacy, you will of course have to let your hair grow in as you will not be able to judge progress. Our recommendation is that you stop shaving your head for the full 20 weeks so that you can judge results, but that is up to you. And, be aware that you may see some increased shedding when you start using the HairMax as it will stimulate your hair to shed the fine wispy hairs, and grow thicker terminal hairs.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.
