View Full Version : Can you still see the initial shedding if you shave your head with a razor?

Hi,

I have an interesting question: I have been using the comb for a little more than a month now -- I do shave my head every 2 days with a razor, so it's not easy to tell whether it's working or not. However, I get the feeling that I may be shedding some hair: obviously I don't see hair falling off in the shower, but I can see my "stubble" (the little bit of growth that appears after a few days of not shaving) getting thinner. Is this even possible? In other words, can you see the results of shedding even when you shave your head? Or am I just imagining things?

Hi adi87tya -

Thank you for your post.

The HairMax exerts its effects in the follicles of your scalp. Therefore, the hairs under the skin which you obviously do not see, can be fine telogen hairs that may shed at the beginning of treatment. Because of this, you may see the initial and future effects when you see the stubble on your scalp, but you should eventually let your hair grow out to see the full effects. This initial shedding, by the way, is a good sign, and shows that the HairMax is beginning to work.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.
