Hi,

Like to know if anyone knows if hairmax comb can treat or improve on hair loss due to alopecia areata.
Seen a post many years ago indicated below that hairmax is working on this condition. Wonder if there is any updates?
Currently I am trying out a treatment of injection on scalp by the doctor. Wondering if hairmax comb can be used concurrently?
Anyone?

"The HairMax LaserComb is indicated only for treatment of certain classes of androgenetic alopecia or male pattern baldness.

We plan to conduct some studies in the future to judge the efficacy of the HairMax in alopecia areata. As for diffuse hair loss, if the loss is heriditary in nature, than the HairMax will work for that condition.

Thank you for your interest in the HairMax LaserComb."

Hi Siewg -

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, while we have not conducted studies as the efficacy of the HairMax for treating alopecia areata, current literature indicates that the device will not be effective in treating AA.
