    Dear Pumb,

    Dear Pumb,

Hello and thank you for your message.

DHT is one of the top concerns of people with thinning hair because of all the advertising attention it gets. If you ask a researcher, you will find that genetics is the number one 'cause' of hair loss. However, studies show that DHT build-up has been associated with thinning hair and is a real concern also. We cannot cite a specific study of laser phototherapy for hair that addresses the question of DHT, however other studies with laser phototherapy have shown that it increases blood flow to the treated areas. An increase in blood flow would increase the amount of nutrients supplied to the hair growing site and produce a healthier, more robust hair. At the same time, waste from cell activity is naturally carried away by the blood flow. We believe that DHT's simply do not have a chance to build up due to the increase in blood flow and the body's natural ability to carry away toxic build-up. We believe that the LaserComb is sufficient treatment to maintain the health of the hair and other drugs or supplements are not necessary. DHT inhibitor drugs require a doctor's prescription and one should consult with a physician if he or she is considering a DHT inhibitor.

      Hi Sonia,
How does DHT affect the follicle? Does it limit blood circulation to the scalp or just shrink it some other way? If it causes poor circulation, then i can think the lasercomb might be sufficient enough when used alone.

        Dear M,

Hello and thank you for your post. As indicated we do not have specific studies with DHT and our product. To educate yourself on what and how DHT works, do a "google" search, and or ask your physician.
