    Hairmax Lasercomb And Shedding

    Hi rancid_69 -

    Thank you for your post.

The HairMax is what is called an anagen inductor which means that it takes hair in the telegen stage and converts growing hairs into thicker terminal hairs. Thus, most people notice shedding of these fine whispy hairs at the beginning of treatment with the HairMax and this is a good sign as it shows that the HairMax is beginning to work.

As far as continual shedding; individual hairs go through a normal cycle of shedding, resting, growth so you may notice continual turn-over of hair. The HairMax does not cause hair loss per se, it only speeds up the turnover of hair into normal thicker terminal hair, so the device does not cause permanent hair loss. Any additional loss is a result of the programmed activity of the hairs on your scalp.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.

I know shedding is normal, but does it happen to everyone that uses the comb?
