  • Less hair loss

I started using the Laser Comb about 4 weeks ago. For 2 weeks now I've noticed significantly less hair loss when combing or washing my hair. Whereas before there were large clumps in the drain, now there are just a few hairs. However, I haven't yet experienced the shedding that happens to new users. So I'm wondering, could the slowdown in hair loss just be part of the regular growth cycle, or is the comb helping? Should I expect to see shedding in the future?

    Thanks for any responses.

    Hairmax Lasercomb And Shedding

    Hi Curlyhead -

    Thank you for your post.

Treatment response from the HairMax varies with each individual and there is no way to predict how each individual will respond to treatment.

While many users of the HairMax experience excess initial shedding some do not. You may be experiencing a small amount of shedding, but may not notice it. The whole goal of treatment is to stop hair loss and stimulate regrowth of hair. So if you see less hair falling out then this is an indication that the HairMax is working.

Our best advice is to continue using the HairMax for at least 20 weeks in order to be able to judge the device's overall effectiveness.

We wish you continued success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.

Well it sounds like you may be getting the best of both worlds. You are not having any shedding initially which a lot of people do I guess. You may get the benefits without any of the negative side effects like shedding.

        Hi Jenkins -

        Thank you for your comment.

Initial shedding is dependent on the severity of the hair loss condition. That is why some people with more advanced thinning and hair loss see more shedding. So, in many people with less hair thinning, initial hair loss may not occur.
