Shampoo, Conditioner, and Hair Color
That sounded almost like a movie title. LOL!
Hi Guys,
I just purchased the Laser Comb through your website, and I am excited but a bit nervous about the shedding. I have thick hair, but I am starting to see some thinning (more like patches) on the back and it appears to be receding around the temple area. I feel lucky that I have a full head of hair for a 40 year old, but I am very active, eat healthy, and I have been taking nutritional supplements since my early 20's.
I color my hair (only on the sides) to cover the greys twice a month. I use a product from Whole Foods that is very mild (Naturcolor with 3% hydrogen peroxide). Will the hair color interfere with the laser treatment?
Also, I read for best results the scalp must be clean, so I am assuming I should shampoo the hair and not use any hair products (gels etc.) before using the laser. What about conditioners? Can I use the shampoo and the conditioner before the treatment, or do conditioners have anything in them that might interfere with the treatment?
Regards,
Shiraaz

Hairmax Lasercomb And Other Products
Hi shiraaz
Thank you for your post.
It is alright to use any shampoos and conditions you like before using the HairMax. However, it is best to use ones that do not have any sulfates.
As far as the coloring agent, that is also up to you.
Be sure that your scalp is clean before using the HairMax to provide a clear path for the laser energy to reach your follicles.
We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb. It might be a good idea to read information on the device on the web site, to asssure that you will know what to expect from treatment with the device.

Hi, so I have been using HairMax for about a couple of months. I take a shower first, and use Activance Scalp Activator (about 8-10 sprays) and massage thoroughly on my scalp. Then I use the comb for 15 minutes. I do this 3 times a week. But I haven't seen any visible change. I don't even know if I shed. How can I tell if I shed? I assume I will see hair falling off either during the shower on on my pillow when I wake up. But I haven't seen that. The only change I saw was some itching and dandruf like flakes after about two weeks of using the comb. But that went away and everything went back to normal, and I have seen any visible changes.

Hairmax Lasercomb Efficacy
Hi shiraaz -
Thank you for your post.
Based on this post and your original one, it appears that you may not be experiencing hereditary hair loss. If you had hereditary hair loss, when you began treatment with the HairMax, you would normally see some increase in shedding - since you do not it may be that you do not have hereditary hair loss. (You might want to consult a doctor for a diagnosis of your hair condition.)
We recommend that you continue to use the HairMax and Activance as you will be contributing to your overall hair health.
We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.
