Default What's the age group for HairMax?

    Hi,

I'm 17 years old and I used to have thick hair, but now it's really thin compared to before. Whenever I take a shower, I see strands of hair on my hand. This has been happening for almost a year now and now my hair is thin. My dad who is in his 60's has Norwood Classification Class VII. My 2 older brothers who are over 20 are also experiencing hair loss (more than me obv.). So, HairMax right for me? Can I use it even though I'm 17? Also, if I start using it, from my description above, approximately when can I start seeing results? Also, does hairmax just thicken the hair or does it help grow new hair?

    Thank you for any help!

    Default Hairmax candidate

    Hi losecontrolv2 -

    Thank you for your post.

The HairMax LaserComb has been studied in individuals over the age of 18. However, you are an ideal candidate for the HairMax, but it will be up to you if you wish to start using the device now. The best advice is that the earlier you start use, the better will be results.

Hair shedding is a normal part of the cycle of hair growth, hair loss, regrowth so you should not be too concerned if you experience some shedding at your age. Using the HairMax will help prevent progression of the disorder of excessive hair loss and will help regrow any hair you may have lost to hereditary hair loss.

When you start using the device, you should see stabilization of your hair loss condition and return of lost hair by about week 12 although this varies by individual. In your case you need to use the device for at least 6 months to judge results. And, at your age, you may not be losing enough hair to see hair return, but you should see prevention of hair loss in the future. The device will eventually thicken up your hair and improve the overall quality of your hair. We recommendation that your two brother also begin using the HairMax immediately to treat the condition and prevent further hair loss.

We wish you and your brothers success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.

Thank you for the reply. I have a few more questions to ask about the HairMax.

I looked into hair lasers and there seems to be a lot of them -- even some laser that are inter-graded into a helmet. What makes HairMax any different or better?

Question about the 20 weeks money back guaranteed. It states on the HairMax site that "You will be required to pay for the return shipping costs and the applicable restocking fee" - what does the restocking fee come up to?

Do you have to keep using HairMax for the rest of your life? 3 times a week, for 10 - 15 minutes? Or do you stop once your satisfied with the improvements?

As I said before, I'm 17 and my dad has Norwood Classification Class VII. I'm starting to see hair loss, not a lot, but my scalp is not as full as before - you can start to see the back of my scalp just a little bit. If I start using the HairMax , will this prevent me from going bald when I'm older? OR will this just help slow down the process? Ex. say I wouldn't have any hair or very little hair on top of my scalp when I'm at my late 30's. Will using HairMax just slow down this process, say to age 50 or so. OR will I always have hair on my head if I use HairMax ?

Here's a picture of the top of my head. Please take a look at it when answering my questions. Thank you!

    Default Hairmax lasercomb benefits

    Hi losecontrolv2

    Thank you for your post.

The following are answers to your questions.

    1. The HairMax is different that ALL other home use laser devices in that the HairMax is the ONLY device of its kind to receive FDA Clearance based in part of a submission of the results of a well controlled study proving efficacy and safety of the device. Further we are the only ones to publish these results in a peer reviews medical journal. Because of this FDA Clearance we are required to have in place strict manufacturing and quality controls which NO other device is required to have.
    2. The restocking fee is 20% of the purchase price after 20 weeks.
    3. The HairMax has to be used continuously, however once you have attained the results you were looking you can try reducing usage to once or twice a week. When you cut back if you see hair loss increasing you can readjust usage upward till your condition once again stabilizes.
    4. Since hair loss runs in your family and since you are in the beginning stages, this is the ideal time to start treating your hair loss. Continued use of the HairMax will help you keep the hair you have. Everyone reacts differently to treatment, but continued use of the HairMax in the early stages of hair loss gives you the best chance of keeping your hair rather than waiting till hair loss progresses.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.
