Default Washing hair before every comb use?

I know your scalp is supposed to be clean before every use to ensure the laser isn't blocked from penetrating the scalp but what if you have a hair texture that doesn't allow you to wash your hair everyday (curly hair, ethnic hair)? As long as I am not putting actual hair products on my scalp and only on my hair during the week when not washing it, would it be clean enough?

Default Use HM Three Times Each Week

The recommended usage is three times per week (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, Friday) so why would you need to wash your hair every day before using the HM?

Default Preparing scalp for the hairmax lasercomb

    Hi Jujubean114 and worried1 -

Thank you both for your post.

The only reason to assure your scalp and hair are clean before applying the HairMax is to assure that the laser energy has a clear path to reach the scalp. Hair itself is a photo-protectant which protects the scalp from exposure to sunlight, so if the hair cannot be parted well with the HairMax, optimal laser energy may not reach the scalp. Likewise, if there is dandruff on your scalp, this might also diminish the amount of laser energy reaching the scalp.

So, our advice is to use your discretion as to how often you clean your hair and scalp, so long as you make sure that when you do apply the HairMax, the optimal laser energy will be able to reach your scalp.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.
