    Default Results after four months

I have been using the hairmax comb for about 16 weeks now. Two things have happened (1) I've lost a lot of hair and (2) the hair that has remained is now healthier and almost black. Even now, I just had another instance of shedding that was not fun to go through. So I'd like to know the following:

    (1) Do these massive hair shedding incidents ever stop, since this is way past the initial phase?

    (2) The hair quality is much better but the density is much worse. Obviously, the hair that fell out must've been sick or couldn't handle the laser. How can I help these hair follicals come back?

    Default Hairmax lasercomb and shedding

    Hi MJH -

    Thank you for your post.

It is important to realize that the HairMax does not interrupt the normal hair cycle of growth, rest, shedding so you will see some shedding occurring during treatment with the HairMax just as you would if you were not using the device.

It sounds as if you are receiving some good benefit from the HairMax in that you are regrowing healthy and thicker hair after the thinner hair has shed. However, if some of your follicles are no longer producing hair, then obviously the HairMax will not grow hair from follicles that are no longer viable. It is also important to realize that many follicles become dormant and respond at different times to the effects of the HairMax. Finally, realize that the HairMax does not cause hair loss, rather the device only stimulates those fine, velus hairs to shed as they would anyway.

Our best advice is to continue to use the HairMax and you will continue to see increasing benefits overall from this continued use over time. You might also want to add minoxidil to your regimen to see if that gives you added benefit, but it really sounds like the HairMax is doing fine by itself.

We wish you further success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.
