    Default Used hairmax incorrectly?

    Hi,

I've been using the hairmax for 2 months (3 times a week). However, I misunderstood the instructions and I've only been using it for a minute each time (just running it up and down my scalp once). However, I've still seem some shedding, but haven't had much regrowth yet. I just realized that I'm supposed to do 15 minutes per treatment, and I just started doing that today. My question is: has using the comb less just induced shedding without regrowth, and can I expect regrowth and results better than what I had before I started (now that I've started using it correctly)?

    Default Hairmax lasercomb and shedding

    Hi adi87tya -

    Thank you for your post

You are correct that you need to used the HairMax for the time specified in the directions for use to receive optimal results. However, the fact that you are experiencing some shedding, means that the HairMax is beginning to exert its effect even with the short application times. The initial shedding and the beginning of new hair growth in place of the shed hairs is related and not independent of each other, so that shorter treatment times does not mean that the shedding would be there, but the effects of the laser energy would be diminished.

You may experience continued shedding but you will probably see better hair growth if you use the device for the correct amount of time.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.

As per the recommendation, I've been using the laser comb for 13-15 minutes, 3 times a week, since late July (whereas before I was only using it for 2 minutes each time). The thing is, I actually keep my head shaved with a razor ( I shave every other day). Is 15 minutes too much if my head is shaved? The reason I ask is, even with a shaved head, I can see that my hair has gotten thinner (esp in the hairline area) since I started it. I would like to see regrowth/improvement soon, but have I used the hairmax for a longer treatment time than is necessary for a shaved head, or is 15 minutes OK?

Default Correct usage time for the hairmax

    Hi adi87tya -

    Thank you for your post.

The treatment time recommended is based on the model you have, i.e. for the 7 beam 15 minutes, for the 9 beam 12 minutes and for the 12 beam 8 minutes. These are only guidelines and if you are using for 15 minutes that is fine. There is no difference in application time recommendations if you have hair on your head or you shave your hair, since the effect is the same, i.e. optimal delivery of the laser energy to the scalp itself for penetration into the follicle to exert its action.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.
