    Default skeptical

i am an African living in the UK and i just ordered the hairmax laser comb. i have male pattern baldness and since i do not want to use chemicals on my hair because of the side effects. My worry is, i have gone through balding post and blogs online and no one seems to give any credit to this product (hairmax comb). If the trials hairmax carried out was not statistically significantly, then this may perhaps mean the comb may not be good enough. I have even gone through most of the post here on hairmax forum and the messages people send tends to go towards the negative than positive. Very few people have categorically said this product works. Please if it has worked for anyone on this blog, let me know so that atleast i can be encouraged after shelling out 345 pounds!!!!

    Default Hairmax efficacy

    Hi Bond -

Thank you for your purchase of the HairMax LaserComb.

It is a fact that people who are dissatisfied with any product are more likely to complain on the internet than those who have had success. Many of the failures of treatment with the HairMax result from people not using the device for the recommended period of time and are therefore not achieving unrealistic results. Also, many people have tried to treat their condition for severe hair loss, not just mild to moderate as per the chart on the pack.

The HairMax LaserComb has been used by hundreds of thousands of individuals worldwide and the fact that there are over 55,000 members on the HairMax Forum attests to the success of the device. Our web site is full of testimonials, too. Further, our return rate is less than 3% for a device at this price point.

That said, will the HairMax or any other treatment for hair loss work for every single individual? The answer is no, as each individual reacts differently to treatment with any drug or device. The only way a person will be able to know their response is to use the device for at least 20 to 26 weeks. We also assume that you have mild to moderate hair loss per the chart on the pack.

In conclusion, we suggest that you study the responses on the HairMax Forum so that you gain confidence about expected results and use the device as directed for the proper length of time.

We wish you success in your treatment with the HairMax LaserComb.

well said LAS....i have gone through other post and i must say it does work and like you said, depending on the stage of hairloss. My hairloss is weird because i had full hair just 6momths ago and all of a sudden, my hair started to thin and very fast. i went to see a G.P to rule out other courses and he confirmed it is male pattern baldness. the rate at which my hair is thinning is scary. I decided to have a haircut using step two and this is what i found out. the hair has thinned when compared to other part of the hair. It looks a bit good but in reality it is now noticeable and the other side is way worse. i wonder y it happened over night and what can hairmax do in this situation? regrow the hair or make it thicker to look fuller. and how long will the hairmax effect last if i continue using it as recommended?

    Default Hair loss causes

    Hi Bond -

    Thanks for the reply.

I would recommend that you see a dermatologist for a diagnosis of your hair loss. You use the term, 'rapidly', but that has may meanings. When hair falls out noticeably in a short period of time it could be from other causes which a dermatologist can rule out. If it is happening over 6 months then it is probably androgenetic alopecia.

So, it sound to me (I am not a doctor) from your description and from the image you sent, that you are experiencing androgenetic alopecia, and if that is the case, then using the HairMax early rather than later, can help regrow your hair lost, and help you keep what you have.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.

    Hi Lass,

Thanks alot for your reply. i have just received the hairmax. I was just curious, i know it may take time for me to see the effect. But when it starts to work, what should i expect? From the picture i sent, I have not lost a lot of hairs on my head, but they are pretty thin. So should i expect the thinned hair to get thicker? or it will not further get thin again...I wish you could paint a scenario for me using my picture i sent.

    Default Hairmax efficacy

    Hi bond -

    Thanks for your reply.

Everyone reacts differently to treatment with the HairMax LaserComb. However, this is what generally occurs from treatment.

    - You may see some shedding during the first 4 - 8 weeks of treatment which will stop and begin the process of producing new thicker hair.
    - At about the 12 - 16 weeks point you should start to see thicker hairs growing and your thinning areas beginning to fill in. (Hair grows about 1/2 inch a month so that is why it takes time.
    - By week 20 -26 you should continue to see improvement and by continuous use, you can help to keep what you have and prevent further hair loss.

We recommend that you read this page of the HairMax Web site: http://www.hairmax.com/hair-growth-treatment for further guidance.

The overall recommendation to everyone is to use the HairMax for AT LEAST 20 weeks to judge results and not focus on day to day results.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.
