Default 13 weeks and no change

    Hi there:

I have been using the Hairmax Lasercomb for about 13 weeks and I can't see any real difference, except that I feel that my hair has actually become thinner. I have felt this feeling for about 4 weeks now. I'm worried that I will be one of the people who will get to 20 weeks and there will be no improvement.

    Default Hairmax efficacy

    Hi ngtoronto

    Thank you for your post.

The time to response to treatment with the HairMax varies from individual to individual and therefore cannot be predicted.

In our clinical studies many patients began to see visible improvement sometimes at 12 weeks but mostly at 16 weeks and 26 weeks. It is important to know that the HairMax not only regrows hair but also helps maintain the hair you have. Some people report that while they have not had major hair regrowth, further shedding has pretty much stopped while using the HairMax.

The feeling of further thinness you are experiencing is part of the initial shedding that occurs and is a sign that the HairMax is beginning to exert its effect. Since you have only been on the HairMax for a little over 12 weeks we recommend that you continue to use the device as directed for at least 20 or even 26 weeks to judge final results. If you stop using the HairMax your hair will revert back to where it would have been had you not use the device at all.

We wish you success in your treatment with the HairMax LaserComb.

Thanks for your reply. It has now been 16 weeks on the Hairmax, and to date, I still am not seeing any positive results. What I am feeling is that in the last 2 months, my hair loss has become more significant. This could be a positive sign in that shedding has occurred, but I just assumed that at the 16 week mark, things would start reversing itself.

I will continue to 20 weeks (and probably beyond), but I'm worried that I may not get any good results.

    Default Hairmax efficacy

    Hi ngtoronto -

    Thank you for your post.

Everyone responds to treatment with the HairMax in a different way. Some people experience no shedding, some have shedding during treatment and not in the beginning and some respond later than others. In our clinical studies, we saw that subjects experienced results at 12, 16, or even 26 weeks. It is important to realize that the HairMax will not only help to regrow hair, but can also help you keep what you have. Therefore, if you were to stop treatment with the HairMax your hair could go back to the state it would have been in had used not used the device.

Our advice is to continue to use the HairMax for at least 26 weeks as directed to judge response. If at that time you are still not completely satisfied you could stop for a couple of weeks and see if you start to lose hair, at which point you could go back to treating your hair to prevent further fall out.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.

    Default 20 weeks

    Hello again:

Just wanted to give a quick update at the 20 week mark. Again, so far no positive change. What I can say is that I feel that since using the lasercomb for the last five months, my hair has thinned more so than if I did not use the lasercomb. I can't say that there is anything else I can notice that's different.

I'm definitely still going to continue to use the comb until the 26 week mark and beyond and see what happens.

    Hi ngtoronto -

    Thanks for the update.

As I mentioned before, your hair loss might be progressing and if you were to stop using the HairMax you might notice that your hair loss/thinning has gotten much worse than it had been when you were using the HairMax.

Your intention to use the HairMax for at least 26 weeks is a good plan. At that point you might want to stop using the HairMax for a few weeks to see if you are experiencing increased hair loss, and if so you could then resume using the HairMax.

    Default No differences here either

Been using my comb for about a year and no new growth in the thinning areas either!

I have long hair down to my waist, however noticed thinning at front even though I have thick hair everywhere else on my head, so bought a comb and started using it as per instructions, and nothing.... hair has receded slightly more, so doubtful the comb has done anything at all in the last 12 months, monitored areas for regrowth and there is nothing!

Apart from front of the head, hair OK in all other areas, just front forehead line and sides!

    Hi mindreader -

    Thank you for your post.

It is important to realize that the HairMax not only promotes hair growth, but also helps to maintain what you have and promote healthy, thicker hair.

We recommend that you continue to use the HairMax because if you discontinue use, you might find out that you have lost more hair in the one year you have been using the device as your hair returns to its normal state. The recession in the front of your scalp may be a progression of your hair loss, but as I said it might be worse had you not used the HairMax. I suggest that if you want to discontinue use of the HairMax that you try that for perhaps two to three to see if excess shedding occurs as which time you could go back to using the HairMax.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.

Default Yes, there is a difference

    Hello:

Well, I wanted to give an update regarding my continued use with the lasercomb. And....I have good news! It seems that around the 21 week mark, I started to see some subtle differences. I started to see some small hair growth at the front of my hairline. When I looked at my thinning hair at the top of the head, I also began to see that it was as pronounced. It's now about 3-4 weeks since I started seeing these good results. I am thrilled, and maybe I will continue to see more progress!

    Hi ngtoronto -

    Thank you for your post.

We are delighted to hear about your success with the HairMax. It only reinforces the fact that response times are variable with the device. Many users report best results like you beyond the 20 week recommended evaluation period.

Keep on using the HairMax as you have been! We wish you continued success with the HairMax LaserComb. Keep us informed of your progress.
