Hi Thinsky -
Thank you for your post.
To answer your question, it is normal for people to shed about 100 hairs a day. However, during part of the normal hair cycle, you shed more hair (particularly in the summer and fall). Therefore, since you are seeing shedding of thicker hairs and fine wispy hairs, it appears you are 1) shedding some of the telogen hairs that will be replaced by thicker terminal hairs, and 2) you are normally shedding some of the regown hairs during the hair cycle. Most of all, it appears as if what you are seeing on your scalp is the beginning of the HairMax working.
As we have pointed out, shedding is not predictable, but from what you are saying, you are definitely responding positively to treatment with the HairMax. We continue to advise people to take the 'long' view and wait for 5-6 months to judge results. As you can read on this Forum, the shedding time and period is variable, with some people taking over a year to see results. Again, the HairMax DOES NOT cause permanent hair damage - should you stop treatment, your hair would return to where it would have been had you not been using the device.
In conclusion, our best advice is to stop counting hairs lost each day, continue to use the HairMax as directed, add other products such as the HairMax Healthy Hair products to compliment treatment with the HairMax, and take the 'long' view of your results.
We wish you further success in your treatment with the HairMax LaserComb.
