Telogen Effluvium - is it possible that it will work for me?

Hello,

I was diagnosed with Telogen Effluvium last year. Really I think that I’ve had this condition for quite a long time but not really noticed it significantly, then had major life changing accident 7 years ago, hair thinner than ever since then. At the moment my hair is OK but IDK 20% thinner (though hard to judge).

I wonder if anyone has had success using the laser hair band (82, new model) or, even the laser comb, with TE. I am interested in the newer product, just to note.

Thank you for your response, I have read that the laser comb has patented the ‘comb’ feature which helps in targeting the scalp with the laser beam. In my case; I have general thinning, I’ve lost around 15-20% of my hair, but; it is long and I guess I have a lot of it (i.e. there are no large bald patches) - so my question is: whether the laser comb would be a better option than laser band, purely because of the comb feature?

Or: does the laser band do the same because the lasers are more powerful? Responses appreciated. I really am looking forward to buying a Hairmax device.

All of the HairMax laser devices emit the same energy level when used as directed. The only difference is in the treatment time necessary for each device. In your case since you have long hair it might be advisable to used the HairMax LaserComb so that you can help part the hair for best delivery of light. Treatment time for the HairMax Ultima 12 LaserComb is 8 minutes 3 times a week, versus 90 seconds treatment time for the HairMax LaserBand 82 or 3 minutes for the HairMax LaserBand 41.
