Default My Story/Blog/Progress - HairMax Laser Comb Ultima 12 - Chronic Telogen Effluvium

Apologies if thread in wrong place,

I bought the Laser Comb after much deliberation...now kind of wish I’d bought the Laser Band 82 but thought that because I have long hair: the parting of it, and thus; targeting the scalp, would be easier with the comb. Reason I now wish I’d bought the Laser Band is the my hair is so fine that the lasers would’ve reached the scalp anyway - I know that now, ho hum, but; it’s OK because it’s only 8 minutes or so to work through my scalp.

    Day One:
Activator: I used full system of Density kit including the Activator (Follicle Booster) was worried that the Activator serum would make my hair look greasy but it doesn’t at all - I tend to never wear my hair down anyway because of the thinning and quite honestly it really doesn’t look bad - so that alone has made me feel better about using it daily.

Shampoo and Conditioner: Nice smell and feel - didn’t make hair look any thicker straight away - on second use I added Phillip Kingsley Hair Daily Defence spray (for protection against heat from hairdryer) and Hair Maximiser, these products are nice for fine hair because they don’t weigh it down, and hair seems much thicker, genuinely. I also used the Follicle Booster/Activator on damp hair before drying it which is an alternative to those that don’t want to use it on dry hair if going to work or out afterwards and want hair down.

Revitaliser: This is really great stuff - after I’d dried my hair; my scalp had less spots on it - these get itchy when I need to wash my hair.

Am now due to laser for the second time this week - head is a bit sensitive as it needs a wash. As I’ve read with Rogaine, and had other advice from hair loss clinic; it’s OK/advisable not to wash hair too often so, rightly or wrongly, I’ve decided to use the system 3 times per week, on the days I laser, and use the Activator daily. [Note: it is OK to wash your hair as many times as you like - LAS] I think in future I will use the laser before I wash my hair because it was a bit of a pain when it was puffed up, thicker, from washing it.

Obviously; my experience is personal to me but I do have chronic TE, following a major life changing accident (rendered paraplegic), when I think back though; my problems started when I was much younger, my brother died unexpectedly, and suddenly, which practically ruined my life for over 10 years...now I struggle with nutrient absorption (gut issues), I have a lot of physical stress and erratic sleep patterns - oh yes not forgot to mention meds...none of these things I can eliminate completely though I do try. So this, I guess, is damage limitation - Always had fine hair but when not shedding/post shedding it looks quite nice, I’m happy with it.

To those with chronic TE - I hope that my blog will help you to decide if this will work for you...I’ll update Monthly or so

    Amazing thread!

I cannot wait to get your reviews in installments.

The amazon reviews for this product are not nearly in depth enough. Good and bad.

This is exactly what I was looking for.

Thank you so much. Please keep it coming!
