Rubbery comb of LaserBand 82 pulls hair
Hi,
I have a HairMax laserband 82. The teeth are rubbery and when I follow the instructions and try to "glide" the band through my hair, the teeth pull my hair. It hurts, and it also pulls some fine hairs out. I think it may be damaging the hair as well. I am female and my hair is about shoulder length, layered. I understand that rubbery teeth are more comfortable for some because they are more flexible, but for me, smooth teeth would be more comfortable. Do you have a comb attachment with smooth teeth? Thanks.

Hairmax teeth mechanism
Hi Shiela -
Thank you for your purchase of the HairMax.
Our suggestion is to not glide the device through your hair if it is long. Better, to lift the device slightly and gently move it to the next location. All you need to do is to have the teeth touch your scalp for optimal delivery of the laser energy to your scalp and then the follicles.
We wish you success in your treatment with the HairMax laser device.

Can I remove the teeth?
Would it be okay to remove the teeth all together and comb my wet hair, then glide the bare laserband over my head? I would then comb my hair in a different spot, and repeat over and over.

Hairmax teeth mechanism
Hi Sheila -
Thank you for your purchase of the HairMax.
Yes, you can use the device without the teeth, but for maximal, it would be wise to use your fingers to part the hair at each area you are treating.
We wish you success in your treatment with the HairMax device.
