View Full Version : Differences in Comb - old and new

I was involved in a test group for the Laser Comb prior to FDA approval over 8 years ago. I've used the comb over the years and continue to show good results. I am wondering if the basic technology of the comb from back then is still on par with the comb today. In other words, is the current line-up of combs any different, in terms of efficacy and technology, from the ones in the early 90's?

Thanks.

Hi friess25

Thank you for your post -

We just receive clearance for 3 new models of the HairMax for use in males and clearance for the new 9 beam model in females. Each model now utilized individual laser modules vs. the old technology. The efficacy is just as good as the original model.

Thank you again for your interest.

So I understand that the original design utilized a mirror to emulate the lasers into 9 beams, whereas all new models have individual lasers. So even with this difference, there is no advantage in using a newer comb over the one from more than 8 years ago?

Thanks.

Hi friess25 -

Thanks for the post.

You are correct, there is no difference as far as energy level of the original devices and the new approved models. You can continue to use your device and expect the same results.

We wish you success in your use of the HairMax LaserComb.
